Publications that are available to download display a ‘Download options’ button below the publication summary.
The Download options box displays the title of the download, the file size and estimated download time.
If you have logged on to the service, the ‘Download now and add to my downloads’ option will download a copy of the publication and add it to your download log.
This log can be used as a shortcut if you need to download a publication again, or as a way to review the items you have downloaded in the past.
Click ‘My downloads’ at the top of any page to view your log.
Different types of files are available for download:
Rich Text Format (.rtf)
Most word processing applications can open an RTF file, allowing you to edit the document. Note that the RTF document will not look exactly the same as the printed version.
Adobe Acrobat (.pdf)
These documents tend to take longer to download, but include all the graphics and formatting found in the printed version.
You will need the free Adobe Acrobat Reader software installed on your computer to view PDF documents. You can download the Acrobat Reader from the Adobe site (this link will open in a new browser window).
